An assistant to a Florida House agent was fired Tuesday after he stated that Parkland trainees who were speaking up on weapon control after Wednesday’ s mass shooting were paid stars.
The assistant to Republican Rep. Shawn Harrison, Benjamin Kelly, emailed Tampa Bay Times press reporter Alex Leary to declare that 2 Marjory Stoneman Douglas trainees who appeared on CNN weren’ t in fact survivors of the attack.
“Both kids in the image are not trainees here however stars that take a trip to numerous crisis when they occur, ” Kelly supposedly emailed the paper. When the Tampa Bay press reporter requested evidence, your house assistant sent out a follow-up e-mail declaring the exact same trainee who appeared on CNN, David Hogg, remained in another state numerous miles away.
