There are close to a million hedgehogs who are wandering the streets, parks and gardens of London, looking for wood and plant life to take sanctuary in. Barnes Hedgehogs , a regional animal activist group chose to change the city into a more congenial environment for hedgehogs by drilling small “hedgehog highways” through the walls of the city. The passages are simply large enough for the animals to climb up through, making it simpler for them to take a trip from one green area to the next. Sculpting hedgehog highways through the stone partitions and wood fences surrounding gardens and parks is one method Barnes Hedgehogs is making life in the huge city a little much easier for its most irritable citizens. Big like from us!
