Drone Captures Rare Snowfall in Rome from Above

On February 26th an unusual snowfall came down upon Rome, an outcome of cold winds from Siberia sweeping throughout Europe. It was the very first snowfall in 6 years, with a build-up of about 3-4 cm (1.2-1.6 in).

The unforeseen weather condition caused Mayor Virginia Raggi stating Monday a snow day, closing all public schools. Professional photographer and filmmaker Oliver Astrologo flew his drone to catch the surreal images that saw Rome changed into a winter season wonderland.
