Asia Argento, an Italian starlet and director at the leading edge of the #MeToo motion, apparently settled a sexual attack accuser.
The New York Times reports Argento paid $380,000 to 22-year-old star Jimmy Bennett, after he declared that he was sexually attacked by her in a California hotel space.
The claim goes back to when Bennett was just 2 months past his 17th birthday, while Argento was 37. The age of approval in California is 18.
Both appeared in the 2004 movie The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, where they played mom and child.
Argento launched a declaration in action to the claims on Tuesday, rejecting all claims and stating Bennet asked her for cash due to the fact that he “was then going through extreme financial issues.
